About Rob Roy

“What makes you unique?” This question is often raised when completing online job applications or even during the interview process. To avoid the embarrassment of sounding unprofessional, most people will answer this question very carefully to ensure that the chance at obtaining their dream job is not in jeopardy. However, I believe that being genuine in your answer immediately shows how unique you are!

So, what makes me unique?

  • The inner idealist and divergent thinker in me can always find solutions or use available resources in the most complex scenarios to find answers.
  • The inquisitive and optimistic youth in me never turns down the opportunity to be a sponge and learn new techniques to improve less efficient and antiquated processes.
  • The seasoned and client-facing consultant in me ensures that my work is enjoyable, and that my clients genuinely benefit from my presence and welcome my assistance, ideas, and industry knowledge.
  • The old soul in my thirty-four-year-old body never forgets to remind me to sit down slowly to avoid hearing my knees pop.

When all these personas intersect, someone who is outgoing, driven, and innovative takes shape — an experienced and unique professional who enjoys helping clients and individuals reach an unimaginable level of potential. If you haven't guessed yet, that's me!

Let me share a quick story. Once, while with a challenging client, I found myself without a key resource who could assist me with answering questions and developing a solution that was catered more to an adjacent workstream. Instead of seeing this as a setback, I leveraged company-available resources along with my own independent research to turn this moment in an opportunity to learn and expand my own skillsets. By being proactive in my approach to this “setback”, not only did we exceed client expectations, but we also saved the client billable hours and time that would have been spent finding an additional resource. This is the kind of proactive approach and mindset I bring to every project.

In short, I hope that the information on my attached resume and list of select projects affords me the opportunity to discuss my background, professional history, skill sets, goals, and potential growth with you! I look forward to speaking with you and thank you for your time!

Best regards,

Robert Roy
